The Cornwall-Highlands Arts Alliance and the Hudson Valley Gallery are collaborating in a Community Painting Project. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 15th, the public is invited to paint a section of a painting at the Hudson Valley Gallery, 246 Hudson Street in Cornwall-on-Hudson, during the Village concerts. Participants will be given a section of a canvas to add paint to. Everyone of all ages is welcome to create with us, no experience is necessary, this is just an opportunity to be creative and have fun! Stop by Hudson Valley Gallery during the Village concert September 15th to join in the project.
Hudson Valley Gallery 2x2 painting competition with a one category for kids and one category for teens & adults with prizes for each.
The paintings will be exhibited at Hudson Valley Gallery for 2 months. Winners of the each category will be announced at a reception for each category. Click the button for more details and the entry form.
WHO WE ARE
Based in New York's historic Hudson River Valley, Cornwall-Highlands Arts Alliance (CHAA) is a community group dedicated to supporting and promoting the Arts in the Towns Cornwall and Highlands. Situated on either side of the Storm King mountain, the communities of Cornwall and Highlands have long played host to numerous artists, writers, musicians and performers.
CHAA welcomes creative types of all kinds, whether they're beginners, hobbyists or professionals. And you don't need to be a resident of either the Town of Cornwall or Highlands to join - just a love and appreciation of the Arts!
We offer three annual membership tiers for artists, high school students and supporters.
